How to Enter an Exhibit

Please read carefully - note changes to timings.

  • Everyone can enter exhibits for the Show. There are separate sections for Juniors. Horticulture. Flora! Exhibits, Handicrafts, Photography, Art and Domestic and the Rules and Notes within each Division should be read carefully. Follow the entry procedure detailed below and good luck!

  • There are now two ways you can enter an exhibit:

  • enter online at claygateflowershow.co.uk or complete an official entry form available within the Show programme. Take the entry form (no fee required) to Johnston, The Parade, Claygate.

  • All entries, online or paper, must be made no later than 6.00pm, MONDAY 3rd JULY. Entries cannot be accepted after this date.

  • Only one person's entries should go on an online or paper entry form but there is no limit to the number of classes that he or she may enter. Only one entry per person or per garden in any class.

  • Bring the exhibit(s) to the Recreation Ground on the morning of the show between 8.00am-9.55am. Collect an Exhibitor's card from outside the Exhibits Marquee and display the exhibit in the appropriate part of the marquee, placing the card with only the Division and Class Number showing.

  • Judging commences at 10.00am. by which time all exhibitors must have left the show marquee. Any item brought to the Exhibits Marquee after this time will not be exhibited.

  • Presentation of cups for the Junior Section at 4.00pm and Adults at 4.40pm in the Main Arena. Names of the cup winners should be prominently displayed in the main marquee and by the Secretary's Tent.

  • Prizes take the form of small amounts of cash. Prize money may be collected on the day of the show from the Information Point gazebo adjacent to the Secretary's Tent between 4.40pm and 5.15pm. After that date, arrangements should be made with the Treasurer on 07976 692809 with a cut-off date of 31 October.

  • Exhibits may be collected from 5.15pm. Plants, flowers, vegetables and other exhibits not collected will be auctioned at 6.15pm, the proceed going to offset the costs of the Show. No cars will be allowed on the Recreation Ground before 6pm.
